About SBV550:
This 60's reissue is an exact specs to the original Flying Samurais, but with upgraded pickup configuration. The SBV-550 was produced to include into a more versatile model with adding a PJ config, both a Jazz and Precision pickup.

Loaded with this PJ pickup configuration, this passive battery-hassle-free bass has all the punch and clarity you would expect from a Yamaha, as well as a pleasing, fat and warm bottom sounds at twist of the shiny silver knobs.
The bridge pickup produces a nasal, funky, honky Jaco-esque Fender Jazz tone, and the neck pickup provides a sound more akin to a Fender Precision.

Volume control for each pickup and a single tone control, a perfect blend of warmth and bite can be teased from its uber-cool retro shiny silver knobs to produce some very greasy, growly, funky sounds.
Unique and Kung Funky!
