Clean, amazing sound, very good condition all around.

Murmur the name 'Yairi' in MIJ guitar nerd circles and you'll need a towel to wipe the drool from the floor: these certainly enjoy quite the reputation.  K.Yairi is a much smaller operation than the Yamaha/Greco/Takamines of the world; they're truly handmade guitars made by a small team of luthiers that initially were all trained by one master.

This one is styled with the classic square shoulder dreadnought shape made from hand-selected solid rosewood (Back/Sides)and solid spruce (Top).

It's got a big booming bass and snappy treble, but with a certain evenness and breath in the tone. The neck is a slim, comfy round profile with a nice red rosewood board.  It's very easy to play. This is a primo guitar to write and record.  Just terrific.

Model: K.Yairi YW500R
Made: Japan
Year: 1977
Finish: natural, gloss
Body: square shoulder dreadnought style;
Top: solid spruce top,
Back: solid rosewood back and sides
Neck: mahogany, dovetail joint
Fretboard: rosewood,
Scale: 25.5", 15" radius
Weight: 2.010kg
Case: basic non-original vintage hard case

Cosmetic condition notes: clean with minor finish scuff and a couple of very small monir dimples, but overall very clean. The neck is clean and smooth to the hands.  Condition is no major marks, nothing nasty.  See pics.

Playing condition notes: action is moderately low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Frets look pretty even and in good shape, 8.5/10 for fret life left.
